There is
a little brown record player with an autographed picture given to me by Ricky Kinch, a very cool kid who, when he was 12 years old, could recognize the piano style of Meade Lux Lewis or Lil Hardin just by listening to a recording. This kid has very wide ears. It was the only picture of a student on my desk that wasn't of my own children. |
Of course I always used a Mac computer. In every school district I worked, the IT guys at first looked at me with amusement. After a while, they got used to me and were always very generous to me.
The phone numbers of Tom Quinn and Bill Bowling, our excellent instrument repairmen, are right there for emergencies.
