A significant number of the musicians who participate in the Paper Bag began their musical careers in similar manners. We played in "basement bands" during the 60's and early 70's before pa systems were invented. We soldered stuff together, and used these plastic, coiled guitar wires that lasted about a minute before the ground wire broke and they buzzed like hell. These pictures are interesting on so many levels: the equipment, the hair, the matching clothes, the experience of playing at an ice rink. We've all been there.
