PAPER BAG #13 - Proudly Entering our 3rd Decade 1990
Zoot alors!

Well, the Bag (notice I speak of it as if it has a life of it's own) has really matured over the years. Much time and effort is expended staging this show and the performances have reflected that. However, too many of you are beginning to exhibit a laissez-faire attitude, just showing up for the show without proper preparation. This year I would like to see that each of you has made an effort on your own to be prepared (musically and technically). Please be in tough with your section leader. You can also see me any Monday or Wednesday at NY Ave in Huntington or any Thursday at Dakota Rose in Amityville. We always need help the day of the show. We always need trucks. Call me.

Now the good stuff. We're going to do Side 2 of Abbey Road. However, I will not do it poorly! Hopefully, the sound check will be the 2nd biggest musical thrill of my life. See your section leader for a complete songlist and for charts.

Now, the money paragraph. The past few years we could expect 150 walk-ups to pay at the door. Last year we had 80. We covered all of our expenses except for the beer. 41 cases. 984 beers. 16 lousy beers short of 1,000. Anyway, I paid for it. You'll notice I made a small adjustment in the ticket price. Please get your $40 in to me as soon as possible. It's only $40 to you, it's $7,000 to me.

Let's face it, this thing is a lot of fun. I am the luckiest boy in the world. Rookies, ask the veterans what this is going to feel like ----- and brace yourself.

Sell tickets,
Mike
